Default Dessert Party for Welcome Party or Part of Wedding Day

Hi, I am a future Wishes bride! I am currently torn on having a dessert party at Epcot on our wedding day or having it the night before as a welcome party/rehearsal dinner. Could anyone provide feedback from their experiences?

well that's a personal decision really. DO you envision photos of yourself with fireworks in your wedding dress? then that answers your question. There are benefits of each. Extending the wedding festivities with your guests is awesome. I do regret having a welcome party....a more formal event. I just loved having everyone there together celebrating.

We're planning on doing it the evening of our wedding, but I really want the photos in my wedding dress so that factored the most into my decision

We were thinking of doing a backyard BBQ for the welcome party or something casual just to say thank you to the guests for joining us on our special day. If we didn't do a welcome party we were going to just do welcome bags for the guests with some special stuff for them.

I like the idea of a dinner for the welcome party and then the dessert party of the night of the wedding. I think that's what we are going to do.

I love how informal it can be. Also people are coming in from travel and it would be awesomely relaxing to just go to a fun casual dinner.
