Post Forum Rules and Guidelines for ALL Members

Hi and welcome to the Disneymooner Forums - we hope you get all that you need from our forums but before you post away please take a couple of moments to read our Rules and Guidelines for ALL our members. We appreciate that some of these seem a bit much but in the "world of public forums" but from experience we find that most of the below is common sense in the Disney Wedding Planning arena:

PUBLIC FORUMS
We have 1 major public (can be seen by anyone) forum:

General Disney Wedding Planning Forum - you can post in here to your heart’s content once you register with us. Bear in mind that everyone who has access to the internet will, if they so wish, be able to see what you post in this forum.

If your life is an “open-book” then you won’t mind however, we have found that the majority of our members want to keep some if not all of their wedding details private. Wedding guests have a habit of trying to find out details and certainly your vendors and Disney Fairytale Weddings Department staff are free to peruse any of our public forums so just bear that in mind whilst posting in our public forums.

Otherwise, go for it, post anything and everything Disney wedding related. If you have other general questions about Disney but don't have access to the rest of the forums then again by all means ask away here.

We also have a public test area for you to play with your signatures etc:

HIDING ONLINE STATUS
We do not allow our members to hide their online status. If you turn it on so that you can hide, the Pixies will go into your profile and turn it off.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE BOARD
If you have a question you wish to ask about the board but do not wish to make it public then by all means drop myself or a Pixie a note by PM and we can point you in the right direction.

SUBSCRIBED THREADS
If you are subscribed to any topics on the board and use an "Out of Office Auto Reply" on your registered email address, please be sure to unsubscribe to any topics you are watching. We receive your auto reply which to be honest are a real pain!

If it becomes a problem we will have no choice but to reset your account which will delay you on getting back on the board following your trip.

SHARING PHOTOS
We think we’re a little different here at Disneymooners and we certainly think a our members are VERY special and therefore we care about their privacy so we're going to do all we can to secure it when necessary. Therefore we PLEAD with anyone who posts to our forums that you DO NOT post to the board a couple's wedding/engagement or any photo/video links before the couple has a chance to announce them to the board that they are online. (e.g. Hey, Sue, I saw your photos on Randy's website and they look great. Here's the link in case you didn't see them!)

In some cases a couple may chose not to share their photos/video and we need to respect that.

We know that we all get excited over photos/videos...but please remember not to steal the "thunder" from the couple and allow them to share with us what they choose to in their own good time.

HAVING TROUBLE ACCESSING THE FORUMS
Please remember that only members of the Usergroup “Disneymooners” get full access. We take security very seriously on Disneymooners, which sets us apart from other Disney Wedding Planning forums out there. In order for you to become a member of this Usergroup you will need to either have had a Disney Wedding in the past or be in the midst of planning one. You will also need to have posted at least 5 times in our General Wedding Planning forum to show that you are serious about having a Disney Wedding and are not just "window shopping".

If you do meet the above requirements and you wish to join please go to your User CP and then under Networking click on Group Memberships and then ask to join the Disneymooner Group.

PLEASE NOTE: In keeping with our effort to protect our member's privacy, any pending member that is related to or is a guest at a current member's wedding will need approval from the current member to join. Part of the good of these private forums is being able to vent, which is easier to do in private without individuals that are family/friends reading your messages.

USER GROUP "DISNEYMOONER" RULES
If you do decide to join the private UserGroup “Disneymooners” then please be sure you check out the further rules, on joining, that will apply to that User Group:

USUAL BOARD COURTESY
These boards are moderated in an effort to keep the discussions appropriate to the topic at hand. We do welcome thoughtful and informative discussions. However, messages that are argumentative, sarcastic, or attacking another member will be deleted without discussion. We reserve the right to remove a membership if a member is in violation of this rule.


We would also like to remind everyone that whilst we are a liberal group, profane statements detract from the magic we all associate with Disney and our weddings. We understand that the things life throws at you sometimes leave you seeing red, but please try to avoid the use of "colorful metaphores" in full and remember to tone things down just a little when relaying your frustrations.

Finally, please treat one another with respect and dignity. We want all our members to have respect for one another. Please be considerate of one another's feelings.

Why can't I access the whole board?
If you are a new member and you are going thru the joining process it is most likely that you have not completed all the steps of becoming a registered member of the Disneymooner Forums. Have you posted 5 times in the General Wedding Planning forum as yet? We request this step to stop Spammers and "window shoppers" from joining our private access areas.


Who are the moderators?
We have a set of moderators we call Pixies. They are all individuals selected to help maintain and assist fellow members on the board.

Post Past Disneymooners wishing to gain access

Hi there did you used to be a fully fledged member of the Disneymooner Usergroup on our old Forums but no longer have full access.

We'd love to see you back. follow these instructions:

  1. go to your User CP,
  2. and then under Networking,
  3. next, click on Group Memberships,
  4. and then ask to join the Disneymooner Group - you'll have to give a reason so just explain your old membership or give your old user name if you have changed it.

We look forward to seeing you back or alternatively feel free to just hang around the General Disney Wedding Planning area
